Cornucopia Hotel, Xaghra, Malta

Official Rating 4 Stars
A homely, family run hotel with loads of character, this converted farmhouse presents a real taste of Gozo. The bar and lounge area date back over 300 years, the décor throughout the hotel is traditionally Gozitan, from the limestone walls to the arched restaurant.. Two freshwater swimming pools, a whirlpool and a children's pool are set among gardens and terraces.

Very good service, very attentive, room upgraded by hotel, so we were in a bungalow, some areas of the bungalow rather dated and need modernising (showers), but not an issue for us. Recomend: not flying with easy jet, struggling to get 2 seats absolute nightmare, people trying to keep three seats when only two travelling.

Everything ran to clockwork and we felt we didn't have to worry about any transfers. Unique hotel and lots of room to relax indoors and outdoors. Very spacious room at the side of hotel which at first we felt dissapointed but quiet road and was not a problem and away from any pool noise etc. Breakfast excellent included full English although info stated you had to pay extra for this it was all part of an extensive buffet. Evening restaurant very good - we found the bar snack menu also very good and more than enough to eat at the end of the day. Hotel is about a 15 min walk into the square for other restaurants and buses but a pleasant walk even though it was very hot.

a beautiful little hotel in a fine situation. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Quality of the food first class. We felt it was worth spending a period of time on gozo rather then a fleeting visit from malta. Local buses make it cheap and easy to see all parts of the island. Would just like to say how good the transfer arrangements were. Before going we were a little anxious as it was to be a late arrival but it could not have been better

I would like to have been advised before departure that a car was included for 3 days, I did not take my driving licence, however, they were quite happy with my passport! Excellent hotel. Very accomodating, I upgraded to a valley view room at no charge. Food very good and all staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Gozo is an excellent choice for a peaceful holiday during the spring.Excellent walking and value for money. I had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be returning March 2012 when you start selling for that time.

Chevron Feedback: Chevron feedback: The Cornucopia Hotel description on our website does state that Free car hire is added to Winter bookings. March 2012 holidays are now available to book.
I would recommend upgrading to a valley view room if staying at this hotel. The views are amazing!
