Good Hotel,food too good.
Use the weekly bus pass to get round the Island rather than pay for more expensive tours.

If your staying at the Preluna it's well worth the extra book a seaview room with balcony and you get sun most of the day. Buffet restaurant and cavery some nights -always something nice to eat and get a window seat great outlook.
12 euros for a weekly bus pass (buy on bus) and the 12 - 13 - 222 buses outside Preluna will take you most places. Great location don't miss the new POINT shopping centre Debenhams BHS and the top floor cafe in M&S all a short stroll away. If your into local interest The Malta Experience in Valetta and do the old hospital bolt on visit as well. Sightseeing busses stop outside hotel 15 euros but try a day out to GOZO 222 bus - frerry free across and 4.60 euro back and the Gozo sightseeing bus 2 hours if you don't get off half price if you ask at 7.5 euros. Have a drink or lunch in the main square at Victoria. Also have coffee or glass of wine at the Qwara Palace hotel or Fortina next to the Point and we were made very welcome (stayed at both before) Don't miss St Julians bay upstairs balcony McCafe for coffee and see if you can find the Bay Street shopping centre Paceville and go via Portomasso marina next to the Hilton - have fun !!
Obviously Malta attracts an older clientel during the winter months who are there for long periods in all the hotels to avoid the UK cold weather and a bit of company. Don't be dissapointed as some comment on tripadvisor just be glad the lager louts with footie shirts don't come !!!

The quality and choice of meals were superb. Could not fault the hotel in any way. I would recommend booking with Chevron.

It my first time at the preluna. I found it clean, the staff helpful and the restaurant gave a varied choice of self service meals. I was there for 3 nights and would loved to have stayed longer.

Fabulous hotel & lovely staff. Piano and singing entertainment very good. Singing was good enough to warrant non amplification [which always detracts the sound].
The Japanese restaurant / cafe was nice - best coffee in the hotel but too cold to sit in for long. The xmas decorations were lovley . The maid service excellent - rooms very nice & clean.
The food is marvellous with a great vegetarian selection. The help yourself system is much better than being served at tables [which can take a hour per course serving and you might get sat with others which don't have same language!].
The room shower is nice and strong.
The roof terrace is an added bonus.
TheXmas choir were marvellous - pity some guest didn't show a bit more respect - they were up and down to the bar mid carol!
if you don't like lifts ask for a room in the towers - they lifts are larger and newer and arrive more quickly.
The ricotta pie is THE BEST!!!!!

The views from the Sky Room are magnificent and in the Summer would be ideal for sunbathing on the roof top.

Everything was fine. I would travel with Chevron again but prefer Air Malta rather than Ryanair. Malta is a lovely island and would recommend it albeit a little windy this time.

Everything covered to our satisfaction.
Aspect for sea view excellent. Food varied and choice more than acceptable for travellers who like plain food. Staff courteous and friendly. Reception desk can be chaotic at times.
Budget airlines - no seating numbers, priority booking costs and only one bag to be taken on board - this means that a handbag and duty free must be within the one bag!

Absolutely excellent value for money. Great food, very helpful staff. Have a sea-view room.....amazing!!

We were very pleased with all the services Chevron provided. Hotel was fantastic - sea view room made our stay. This was our third trip to Malta, the first being 7 years ago. Probably due to European funding, the islands are now much cleaner and brighter than when we first visited. The improvements have not taken anything away from the history, culture and quirkiness of Malta which draw us back time after time. We would certainly choose Chevron again.

Came back from Malta with your company last Sunday, 10th July, I am sending you this email to say a big thank you to all concerned for making my holiday a great sucess. I stayed at the Preluna Hotel and Spa, I have stayed there with your company before, and twice in Quawra. The hotel, food, weather, Chevron Rep were all fantastic, I will be going back to malta, with your company in the not to distance future. I will recommend your company to all my friends.

The bonus for Malta in the future will be the advent of Arriva and air conditioned buses, rather than the current bone shakers and the ignorant and inconsiderate bus drivers. Nothing else to add other than I have now been to Malta 13 times and will go again.

Our room was fine plenty of space but the out look of unfinished appartments was not good. However the maid service was very good and the food excellent. We found the fact that the hotel was three seperate towers with entertainment and and leasure facilities were reached by lifts in different parts of the building abit anoying.
We think the Historic attractions are well done and we enjoyed the jump on jump off bus.
Overall we did enjoy our holiday with Chevron every part of booking and travel were very good.

Lovely room again very hepful staff especially the night porter who sorted us out the early morning departure with breakfast . Lovely cake arrived evening of my birthday from the hotel, food in restaurant good most evenings not a great meat eater and fish so a few more choice with these not in would be a bonus.
Tell the chevron rep to tell people when offering a free trip what it is all about!! We had chosen the presidential garden visit to only have about one hour at gardens and go from a lovely sunny setting to then go to a dark dingy damp smelling room to sit through a man talking about the joy of wool bedding and how static electricity is so bad for us. The lady next to us told us it was a blanket tour!!!! She said we should of been told that by the rep, what a waste of our time should have realised that nothing is given for free even by chevron!!! I could have booked another 10 day holiday with what the set would cost.
mrs d leach, travelled on 26-feb-2011
Chevron Feedback: We are sorry for any confusion and have instructed the representative to reiterate that the free tour is offered by a wool producer.
A good holiday

We really liked the Hotel – we had opted for a sea view room and we were on the 12th floor so we had some great views.- We were Half Board and found plenty of Choice plenty of Quantity and plenty of Quality- We also really liked the location in Sliema with the Hotel Lido across the Road and the Cafe opposite the Hotel for an evening Coffee. If we had to criticise anything i guess the room Air conditioning was struggling to cope- but it didn’t spoil our stay. We liked the Beach club across the Road – not Many Hotels in Malta seemed to have this facility.- particularly the access directly to the sea. Very happy with our choice and Chevron organised everything very well - all the Flights transfers connections etc happened with no hassle at all. Thank you
