DE HAVILLAND DHC-6 TWIN OTTER
The first de Havilland Canada aircraft flew in 1925, piloted none other than Geoffrey de Havilland. In the early 60’s, pressure was put on the de Havilland by the US Army to come up with a more powerful twin-engine aircraft and thus the Twin Otter was born. The Twin Otter proved to be an immediate success and still rated Canada most successful 19 seater commercial aircraft with more than 800 aircraft built to date.
