Valletta First and foremost Valletta offers up unique historic sights; Bastion walls that rise from the sea and romantic architecture.  All this is set against blue sea and skies and as you traverse the city, find hidden restaurants serving delicious Mediterranean delicacies. Dotted with quaint cafés and wine bars, the city, as it has been through its history, is one of Malta’s main tourist attractions. Valletta provides a stunning snapshot of Malta’s Grand Harbour, often described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Mdina – The Silent City
A stroll through the narrow medieval streets of charming, sleepy Mdina, which has barely changed in a thousand years, should be at the top of things to do for any first time visitor to Malta! Mdina is Malta’s medieval jewel. There are a number of historic attractions that are a must see and you also get some of the most incredible views of Malta from here. You could say Mdina is a magical ‘Step back in time!’.

Drinking & Eating The choicest ingredients; fresh seafood and herbs allows Malta puts its own twist on Mediterranean cuisine. In Valletta, you can ‘people-watch’ over coffee and flaky pastizzi (pastries filled with ricotta or peas). Tuck into seasonal Maltese and Italian dishes like fenek, rabbit slow-cooked in garlic and wine. A well-dressed crowd gathers for aperitivo and cocktails at bougainvillea-laced restaurants by the water's edge.

The Azure Window - The Azure Window is undoubtedly one of Malta’s unique highlights. It is a beautiful, natural rock arch, carved over time by the seas’ perpetual waves crashing against Gozo’s  dramatic cliffs. It’s easy to get to, just hop on a short ferry ride over to Gozo and then head over to Dwerja Point which offers the best vista of the Azure Window. Unfortunately the Azure Window collapsed in March 2017 but still makes for a great place to visit and fantastic dive location.

Megalithic Temples - A BIG must do whilst in Malta, is to bask in wonder at the oldest free-standing stone structure on Earth; the Megalithic Temples.  Around 1000 years older even than the Pyramids, these are sure to take you back in time!
