Getting To Heathrow Airport
As we’ve mentioned, Air Malta flights depart from Terminal 4, which has its own separate entrance from the other terminals. If you’re driving and have sat nav in your car, you should use the postcode “TW6 3XA” to make sure you get to the correct destination. If you don’t, simply take junction 14 on the M25 and there will be signs to guide you towards the airport.
Trains to the airport are the fastest link from London City Centre. The Heathrow Express from London Paddington runs every 15 minutes with an average journey time lasting the same. The Heathrow Connect takes roughly 30 minutes along the same route, as it stops at some stations in West London before arriving at London Paddington.
Of course there’s the tube too. London Heathrow runs on the Piccadilly Line with journey time from stations in the centre of the city just averaging under an hour. Terminal 4 has a dedicated station stop.
At The Airport
You’ll be hard pressed to find a shop that won’t have what you’re looking for after check in. Shopping at Heathrow is akin to the high street, with dozens of stores offering everything from the designer goods of Louis Vuitton, Kurt Geiger and Michael Kors to travel essentials from Boots, Dixons and WHSmith.
There’s definitely a much wider range of food on offer too compared to other UK airports. Comptoir Libanais, Dining Street Restaurant and Caviar House offer up an eclectic mix of food that will keep hunger at bay before take-off.
