Getting To London Luton Airport
The M1 runs to the west of the airport and is the main route to the terminal. If you’re coming from the east, you’ll be looking to use the A1 and then the A505 through Hitchin. The postcode to use for your in-car sat nav for Luton Airport is LU2 9QT. For those dropping friends and family off at the airport and picking them up again it’s good to know that there are several options available. The mid-term car park and long term car park offer free parking for 30 minutes and 1 hour respectively. The drop-off point closest to the terminal is the Priority Zone and costs £2.50 to use for 10 minutes.
For those travelling by rail please note that there isn’t a station at the airport. Luton Airport Parkway Station is closest with a shuttle bus that takes you to and from the main terminal building. You can only pay for tickets to use the bus by cash. National Express runs direct bus routes from London city centre to Luton airport and transfer routes to Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick throughout the day too.
At The Airport
If you smoke it’s important to know that there are no designated smoking areas in the airport after you’ve been through security checks.
There is also a wide variety of choice on offer if you’re looking to partake in a little shopping after you’ve been through security too. Aelia Duty Free, Accessorize, Dixons Travel, Hotel Chocolat and MAC cosmetics give you a little glimpse in to the variety on offer.
And let’s not forget the options for food too. Bar10, Wasabi and Frankie & Benny’s have you covered for lunch and dinner, while Starbucks and Krispy Kreme will make sure you don’t miss out on treating yourself for breakfast.
