Getting To Manchester Airport
The airport sits just off junction 5 of the M56. With connecting links to the M60 and M6, arriving from the north and south is quite easy. You should use the postcode M90 1QX on your sat nav if you have it. If you’re driving someone to the airport, it is possible to simply drive up to departures and get the luggage out from the boot without having to pay a fee at the drop-off zone. When picking someone up, the most convenient options are the multi storey car parks by each terminal which come with a small charge depending on how long you’re there for.
For those travelling to the airport by rail, there is a dedicated train station situated between Terminal 1 & 2. And if you’re planning to take a bus to the airport route 43 is the most direct route from Manchester city centre, although there are National Express services which come from as far as Inverness and London.
At The Airport
With such a wide variety of stores, shopping at Manchester Airport is just like going to the local shopping centre. Next, Fat Face, Dune and Lacoste have you covered for clothes while Claire’s, The Body Shop, Boots, Paperchase and WHSmith have your essentials all covered.
And with 30 restaurants and cafes to choose from you’ll easily have your hunger fixed in no time at all with the likes of Giraffe, Greggs, Soho Coffee House and The Grain Loft providing hearty meals all day long.
