The Fortina Hotel Malta is located on Tigne Point, overlooking Sliema Creek, with magnificent Valletta as a backdrop. The Strand or ‘The Ferries,’ 300 metres away, is where the chic cafes, shops and boutiques are found. Maltese society congregates here - it's very much the place to see and be seen.

The promenade runs along the seafront to lively St Julian's in one direction and towards Valletta in the other direction, along the creek past the sizeable yacht marina.

There is a regular ferry boat service from the Strand to Valletta; a very short journey to a fascinating World Heritage site.

The bus terminus is close to the hotel, making it relatively easy to get to most parts of the island. Free public parking is available outside the hotel.

Great value great location really friendly hotel staff so will definitely be looking to book next Malta holiday with Chevron. Flight timing using Easyjet 0630 departure from Manchester is perfect, arrive in time for lunch and depart after breakfast which unfortunately comes around far too quick.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, initially we were in a 2nd floor garden tower room which was dark. The hotel staff responded efficiently when we asked if it was possible to move rooms, we then moved to the 10th floor. Food choice was excellent and location of the hotel was very good, handy for getting around either by ferry or bus.

We have visited the Fortina Spa Resort in the past and it was good to return although we noticed changes. The staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation is good. There are less restaurants functioning but the food at Taste is very good. Transfer service both ways was very good. If you get a spa room make sure you have instructions for use of equipment and a price list for the mini bar in the room. Enjoyed our break and wish it could have been longer!

We have just returned from our 'annual' 5 day R & R to Fortina Spa Resort. As usual our holiday flowed seamlessly, from the point of booking our holiday through Chevron to our return to Heathrow. The staff at Fortina Spa were excellent, as was the food and of course the weather. We are looking forward to booking, through Chevron, the Fortina Spa next year. Having read recent reviews we were slightly concerned about the Fortina, however everything was great from the booking to flights to the hotel itself. The booking of evening meals only 48 hours in advance is abit of a hassle however you just have to be organised. The reception staff could not have been nicer and I really think that the people who have left poor reviews earlier must have unrealistic expectations. We have booked with Chevron before and when going to Malta for both price and service they cannot be bettered.

We were upgraded to a spa room We had paid for a view across to Valletta but in the end loved our room. My husband enjoyed all the different aspects, the hot tub, jacuzzi, massage bath and seaweed sauna in our bathroom. The restaurant choice was very good although a little fiddly having to book 2 days ahead. We enjoyed the meals and felt it was very good value for money. The location was excellent and very good with my husband's elderly parents who loved the view across to Valletta and the ease of walking along the promenade. We went on the City sightseeing bus and that was also good.We took two boat trips with Luzza tours we enjoyed too so easy to take trips out from that waterfront

We were very pleased with all aspects of our holiday. Excellent Hotel in a good position looking over the water to the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Choice of a la carte restaurants in a lovely garden setting. Restaurant staff very efficient and all very friendly and helpful. Choose a therapeutic spa bedroom if possible.

We were unable to book any of the restaurants on our first night as they were all already fully booked by mid day. As a result we had to use the self service buffet restaurant that night which wasn't what we expected of a 5 star hotel. Perhaps Chevron could have arranged for their rep. to make a booking for us before we arrived as I know this was done for other guests in the hotel by their holday company rep. Other than this slight setback we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we were delighted with the service supplied by Chevron. Comfortable and friendly with a good choice of dining options. Ideally situated for trips to valletta and the various boat trips that leave from Sliema ferries.

Still very good. Nice to eat in the little restaurants rather than a big buffet and a very good variety so can be different each day.. Transfer to the hotel is only around 15 minutes so as soon as you land you are there. It really makes the journey feel easier and the holiday starts straightaway. All Inclusive is really worthwhile and a good financial choice. Staff at the Fortina Spa are very friendly and welcoming but also very professional. It works well.

Hotel in general was very good but found the fact that you had to leave the building & go outside to get access to the breakfast room, not great when it was pouring with rain & the 'rain canopy' was completely useless!!!!

We were given a Tower Room (Garden Facing) which was what we booked but it was small, very tired and dated and in no way warranted a 5 star hotel facility. We ended up changing and paying a surcharge for a spa room which was considerably better. Some of the food in the many restaurants was reasonably good, in particular the Taste Mediterranean restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner and ended up eating there under the AI basis most of the time.

second visit to this hotel, got upgraded to a spa room for no particularly reason and it was out of this world, service excellent by reception, maid service in rooms, spa, etc, etc. do take the free boat harbour cruise, second time i done it and it was very relaxing, go and spend time in valletta and visit st. john's cathedral only six euro entrance worth every cent. will book with you again, easy jet flight excellent service giving my father special assistance he is 85 years old and said it was the best holiday he every had.

Very nice hotel although breakfast could have been a little hotter as it was nearly all cold by the time we were half way through eating. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly & courteous. The room was huge, but, surprisingly, the TV was an old CRT. Maid service was excellent & unobtrusive. This particular hotel is ideal for visiting Valletta as it is only a short walk from the ferry. It is also right next to the new Tigne Point shopping mall which is very convenient. Transfer from airport to hotel was poor, apart from the usual less than perfect Maltese driving the mini bus driver dropped us off at the wrong hotel ! The return transfer however was very good (apart from the driver getting lost in the Tigne Point car park)as we were picked up, on time, in a very comfortable air conditioned car as opposed to the crowded, hot ,uncomfortable minibus we were expecting.

Have stayed at the Fortina 4* several times in the past, which is good, but this was the first time at the 5* Spa Resort. Preferred the 5* - the service generally seemed a bit better and the room was very comfortable. A couple of little things not working in the room on arrival but they were sorted out within hours so no problem. I asked for extra pillows and they arrived almost immediately. Liked the option to have a la carte at 6 different restaurants and the hotel gardens are lovely. Liked also that we were not pressured into buying tours and didn't have to listen to a long spiel, as happens with some holiday companies. We knew the rep was available to contact if required but we didn't find it necessary. Was very pleased with the service provided by Chevron and would recommend the company to travellers to Malta.

Limited information regarding the different restaurant menus availbility from the reception staff - All the staff in the various restaurants were very good, and the food was great, particularly in the Tigne restaurant where the chef was always on hand to make sure you enjoyed your meal. went on a Captain Morgan cruise to Gozo and Comino which we really enjoyed and thought it was well worth the money,

VERY GOOD HOTEL, but disagree with reps trying to sell you time share in the hotel. fortina is in a very prominent position, close to buses, shops etc, and a very good hotel, staff very helpful and obliging

It was sometimes difficult to get bookings for an evening meal in the hotels restaurants which will make it very difficult during peak holiday times. Hotel room was fantastic, couldn't be more comfortable. Carmen our representative was extremely helpful, approachable and knowledgeable.

Very good. Thought hotel reception can improve. Other services very good. Had a bad smell in the bathroom. Hotel staff attended twice to sort out problem during our 7 nights stay in hotel. drainage problem as told. should be sorted out. Chevron service was excellent for our booking. Value for money. Hotel accommodation very good overlooking the sea from both sides. Would certainly use chevron if we visit malta again. Would like to see Chevron services extend beyond malta & gozo

Excellent hotel staff helpfull and friendly. One staff member in particular Annie on reception was exceptional helping us out with a problem with a shop in Valletta even going back for us in her own time. We would recomend this hotel this was our 6th time there and we love it.
