Places to Visit in St Julians
Places to Visit in and around St Julians
Just a few miles north of Malta’s capital Valetta
, St Julians
is a town where there’s always something to do. From thriving nightlife
to adrenaline fuelled water sports and luxury casinos, there are activities for every taste. Here are some of the top spots and St Julians Malta attractions Chevron Holiday guests have rated highly during their time in the area.
The main bay area itself is broken down in to three sections: Spinola Bay, Balluta Bay and Exiles Bay. Each makes up the ideal spot for an evening stroll and the entire bay area is busy in the night too as locals and tourists alike hop between the many bars and restaurants along the route. If you’re after a more laid back affair by the water, the Portomaso Marina, is peaceful and has two of the area’s top restaurants (Blue Elephant and Zen Japanese).
There are a number of places to visit in St Julians Malta. One of the busiest attractions at night is the Dragonara Casino. It is located by Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel
on the water’s edge in the north part of the town and has been in operation for over 50 years. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the Vegas style open planned games space in the centre of the casino, and those who don’t partake in gambling enjoy the sea view space outside as it’s a quiet spot to enjoy a cocktail.
For keen photographers, Balluta Square right beside Malta Marriott Hotel
St Julian’s Hotel and Spa is the place to get a snapshot of local life as many residents prefer to meet up and catch up right here than in the tourist side of town. You’ll also get some fantastic photos of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, one of Malta’s historic churches
